    We are all dismayed and stunned: Martin Fuchs (born May 8, 1969, passed away December 22, 2020), who accompanied the Nexus and the festival for years as a sound engineer, passed away much too early just a few days before Christmas and after a severe short illness.

    After we learned that COVID-19 restrictions pertaining to artistic and cultural events were easing up, we immediately decided to show the world that the Saalfelden Jazz Festival is alive and well. That’s when the idea for the Jazz Saalfelden Weekender was born. Heralding optimism and confidence, this series of weekend concerts aims to delight music enthusiasts.

    We have all been affected by the events of the past few weeks and months. In Austria, due to Covid19, all events are officially prohibited until August 31, 2020. We too have to accept the developments and decisions of the federal government and announce with a heavy heart that the Jazz Festival Saalfelden 2020 will be canceled.

  • Concerts on August 21, 2019

    It all started at this beautiful square: Entitled "3 Days of Jazz", the first festival took place from19 to 21 May 1978. At that time, about a dozen young music-lovers were working hard to turn this agricultural estate into a festival site. Around 800 paying guests from all parts of the country enjoyed the concerts during the three days.

  • Saalfelden Leogang celebrated "3 Days Jazz"

    Last weekend, from 18.-20. January 2019, the fourth "3 Days Jazz" festival in the Saalfelden Leogang region took place. For the first time, the festival has been expanded from the previous seven to nine concerts. On Friday and Saturday, three concerts each took place in the Kunsthaus Nexus, one on the Stöcklalm in Leogang (free of charge) and on Sunday two more in the Mining and Gothic Museum, also in Leogang.
