Synesthetic Jam hosted by Vincent Pongracz
This event has already taken place.Austria, Germany, France, Italy
Vincent Pongracz – clarinet
Yvonne Moriel – saxophone
Peter Rom – guitar
Elodie Pasquier - clarinet
Alessandro Fongaro – bass
Oli Steidle – drums
It is not quite clear whether or not all the musicians participating in this late "Synesthetic Jam" in the bar are also capable of synesthesia, this "special form of perception in which external stimuli are experienced not only through one sensory perception". So if clarinetist Vincent Pongracz, who will of course also be performing at this year’s jazz festival with his "Synesthetic Octet", unexpectedly calls out "Yellow!" or "Forty-seven!" and the group of musicians around him nods knowingly and changes up the rhythm or key accordingly, it shouldn’t be cause for irritation, but rather a good sign for an all-encompassing sense of improvisation and inspiration.
