The exceptional guitarist and the "impressively nuanced" drummer have known each other since the beginning of the century and have been playing together in a variety of line-ups in and around Brooklyn for at least eighteen years. In Saalfelden they can be heard as the rhythmic half of Tomeka Reid's quartet, and they also play regularly with Michael Formanek's Ensemble Kolossus, the Taylor Ho Bynum Sextet, Fujiwara's Illegal Crowns, The Hook Up and Triple Double or Halvorson's Code Girl. They will bring all of this experience with them in this, one of their rare performances as a duo.
