Saalfelden Leogang is one of the leading year-round destinations in the Alpine region and relies on premium quality in its tourism concept. When it comes to mobility, they also rely on a premium brand: Mercedes Benz is a cooperation partner of the tourism region, together the focus is on electromobility. The Tourist Board will be equipped with an EQV, while the Leoganger Bergbahnen will be on the road with the eVito Tourer. A sustainable mobility offer for the attractive living and recreation area.
On two and four wheels: Mercedes-Benz UCI Mountain Bike World Cup in Leogang
The current cooperation is preceded by a long-term cooperation. Since 2018, Mercedes-Benz has been title sponsor of the UCI Mountain Bike World Cup – the world’s largest mountain bike racing series. In 2021, the Mountainbike World Cup returns to Saalfelden Leogang: in the disciplines Cross Country and Downhill, the Mountainbike Elite will fight for important points in the MTB World Cup at Epic Bikepark Leogang. The Mercedes-Benz UCI Mountainbike World Cup race in Leogang will take place from 11 to 13 June 2021. The two electric new additions from Mercedes-Benz support there as well as at the International Jazz Festival Saalfelden in August, where international artists will be shuttled locally emission-free.
The EQV: Electric, versatile and intelligently networked
The EQV (combined power consumption: 28.7-28.8 kWh/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km)[1] is the first premium wide-body sedan from Mercedes-Benz with purely battery-electric drivetrain. The EQV combines the versatility of the V-Class with the advantages of a locally emission-free drivetrain. In addition, the EQV is integrated into an e-mobile ecosystem of intelligent navigation with active range management and cloud-based services and apps. The central control unit is the infotainment system MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience). The EQV also sets standards for electric mobility in its class with its range of up to 348 kilometers[2] [3] and its wide range of applications for a wide variety of customer needs.
The battery-electric eVito Tourer: Locally emission-free specialist for passenger transport
The Mercedes-Benz eVito Tourer (combined power consumption: 27.8-27.9 kWh/100 km; combined CO2 emissions: 0 g/km)[4] sets standards in its segment in terms of everyday suitability. Thanks to its fast charging function and a range of 359-360 kilometres1, it is flexible and offers customers a high level of usability as a locally emission-free van. The eVito Tourer adopts the independent look of the Vito with internal combustion engine. But under the dynamic front sits the electric drivetrain (eATS), which drives the front wheels with a peak output of 150 kW. The electric machine, the transmission with fixed gear ratio, the cooling system and the power electronics form a compact unit. The energy is stored in a lithium-ion battery in the underbody of the vehicle. Its deep and central arrangement has a positive effect on the driving behavior of the eVito Tourer. The top speeds of 140 km/h as standard and 160 km/h as optional equipment ensure rapid progress even away from city traffic.
